Hand Dough Mixer
I have been using a hand dough mixer, I guess ever since I started cooking for myself back in the 90s. Of course, I have mastered a lot of skills along the way like maneuvering the machine in one hand and adding ingredients in the other. Don’t try this unless you’re a pro! You really don’t want a flour accident happening in your kitchen. Cleaning up is horrendous! I know because I have had my fair share of accidents! Anyway, to those of you who are new to the world of baking and cooking, let me highlight a few benefits of a hand dough mixer to encourage you to grow your culinary skills.

A hand dough mixer comes with a handheld handle that you can use to move the mixer around. This makes it easy to get a well blended pot of dough especially for your cakes. They also come with additional attachments if you want to get creative with your mixer. Hand dough mixers make your job of mixing really quick and almost effortless.
A hand dough mixer is definitely cheaper than the mixers that come with a stand. They are an ideal way to start using a mixer and when you feel comfortable enough, you can always advance to a stand mixer. They are great for light duty mixing, for example, mixing egg whites to get that fluffy consistency or for simple cake mixing. You can even use it for mashing potatoes.
A hand dough mixer is also pretty small and can easily be stored away in your drawers or kitchen cabinets. They are ideal for the occasional cake makers. They don’t take up a lot of space and are hidden from sight when you’re not using them.
Cleanup is easy with a hand dough mixer. You can remove the stainless steel parts that are used for mixing and wash them.
Granted, with the hand dough mixer, one hand has to always be on the mixer but it is actually quite versatile and can perform most mixing jobs that a heavy duty mixer can perform.
It is so simple that if you wanted to get your children involved in baking, this would be perfect way to get them started.
I have used my hand dough mixers to mix the ingredients for my special omelets. They come out really nice and bouncy because they have been well blended in the mixer. Making cookies are also easy – for each round of mixing I just have a base of flour, butter and sugar and add different flavors and nuts to make it different. In fact, I hand these out for Halloween because I think they are special and the kids that come round, love it because I make them in evil monster shapes and ofcourse, they are very tasty.
I hope I have got you all excited to go out and get yourself your very own hand dough mixer. Trust me, you won’t regret it and your family will love you for it!
